STAFF POSITIONS

Communications Director - Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County is seeking a Communications Director, who will oversee efforts to present and maintain a positive image of Habitat Pinellas to the media and community. The ideal candidate will have experience in three key areas: Public and media relations; website management and social media; and graphic design. The Communications Director develops all press releases and serves as media contact and often spokesperson. He or she is also responsible for working with different departments to produce messages and collateral materials specific to each Habitat homeowner; as well as general materials for volunteers and donors, such as mailings, invites, newsletters and brochures. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer who has design experience (with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop) and is comfortable with both social media tools and updating website content. A bachelor's degree or demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, advertising or related field is required. Habitat for Humanity experience is a plus! Habitat Pinellas is a fun, heartwarming place to work and the best person for the job will be a team player who can celebrate this mission, while staying focused on both the big picture and the little details. A new website was just created and utilizes the latest technology! IMPORTANT – This is a hands-on position and you will be doing the work on InDesign yourself, not contracting out the work. KEY VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Dedicated volunteers are needed for the following positions.

Office Assistant - A long-term office volunteer is needed to assist the construction department. We're looking for an individual who can commit four to six hours per day, two to three days per week. Duties include organizing files, tracking construction activities and maintaining records. Hours are flexible. If interested, please contact us by clicking here.

Community Legacy Position - We are looking for long-term volunteers to help us track the condition of homes that Habitat has previously built in Pinellas County. The position requires a person to periodically view proprieties and make observations about the appearance and connection with the community. These periodic observations will help Habitat design and develop new homes that bring the greatest possible benefit to the community. Photographers - Volunteers are needed at various times throughout the year to photograph Habitat families and/or events. The ideal candidate will have professional-level, digital equipment and a great "eye." This position is perfect for those artist types who want to help our mission and aren't afraid to engage people.
