During an early morning dedication, the Figueroa-Rivera family received the keys to their Habitat home from Paul Lokey, President of Lokey Automotive Group and sponsor of the home in Stevens Creek. The Figueroa-Rivera home is the third Habitat house sponsored by Lokey Automotive Group this year.

Clearwater Councilman Bill Jonson and Shirley Miaoulis, district representative for Congressman Bill Young, also participated in the dedication, presenting the family with a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol. Habitat Homeowner Services member Carol Downing, who served as Esmeralda Figueroa-Rivera's translator, presented a bookshelf built by her students from the Montessori School for the Deaf.

Barbara Green, President and CEO of the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP), spoke about HEP's support of Esmeralda and her two sons. She and Habitat Pinellas President/CEO Barbara Inman spoke about the impact collaborative efforts among nonprofits, like Habitat and HEP, can have in helping to stabilize the lives of struggling families in our community.

Congratulations to the Figueroa-Rivera family! And thank you Lokey Automotive Group!
