Two Young Philanthropic Groups Join Forces for Habitat Pinellas Build

Monday, July 30, 2012

HYLP and FLIP join forces for Habitat PinellasOn Saturday, July 28, two young local philanthropic groups joined forces to assist Habitat Pinellas. Habitat Young Leaders and Professionals (HYLP), a group that fully supports Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County and its mission, teamed up with the Future Leaders in Philanthropy (FLIP), an organization that supports Bayfront Medical Center’s Foundation, to work at a build site in Habitat's Stevens Creek subdivision in Clearwater.

The groups’ leaders recently met and learned of their mutual interest in philanthropic work within the community. Over lunch, they came up with the idea of bringing their membership together for a joint build with Habitat Pinellas.

“We are really excited about the opportunity to partner up with fellow young leaders who share HYLP’s desire to better our community. FLIP’s mission of inspiring contributions to Bayfront Medical Center, and thus improving healthcare in Pinellas County, perfectly complements our objective to assist Habitat Pinellas in the effort to eliminate substandard housing,” says HYLP President Yova Borovska.
