Volunteer Individually

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Habitat for Humanity. We are able to build homes for families in need thanks to volunteers like yourself. Never volunteered before? No problem, you can volunteer at Habitat without having prior experience. If you would like to learn more about how Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County works consider joining us for a Nuts & Bolts Orientation. Please click here to learn more.

Check out the different options below for volunteering. Want to join our group of regular volunteers? Click on the Weekday Warrior tab below!

Volunteers are the foundation of Habitat for Humanity! Each year, over 5,000 individuals volunteer to build homes for families in Pinellas County, helping families see their dream of home ownership become a reality.

Age Requirements: Volunteers 14 and 15 years old can participate on landscaping days and in our stores. Volunteers 16 and 17 years olds can participate in any build activity but are not permitted to use power tools.

Volunteer Activities Can Include:

  • Setting trusses
  • Installing soffit and fascia.
  • Installing insulation board
  • Installing windows
  • Installing doors and cabinets
  • Installing trim work
  • Landscaping, etc.

Because construction is unpredictable, we ask volunteers to be prepared for any activity. We are unable to inform you of your volunteer activity until a week before your volunteer day. The build schedule can change quickly due to sub contactors, weather and number of volunteers. Please click here to sign up.
