ReStore makes it possible to accept a wide range of donated items. Each year we keep nearly 800 tons of reusable materials from our landfills.

renovating or demolishing a home? Please consider our FREE deconstruction services!

What is Deconstruction?

Deconstruction is the process of hand-dismantling rooms and homes to salvage reusable items, such as cabinetry, appliances, doors, electrical and plumbing fixtures, etc. These items are then resold at our ReStore, and the proceeds fund Habitat home construction in Pinellas County. The ReStore deconstruction team can provide these services free of charge on future demolition and select renovation projects. Due to liability concerns, these services are rarely available for attached structures, which includes condominiums and townhomes. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a deconstruction or pickup, contact us today.

Why Choose Deconstruction?

  • Save Money: Donations are tax deductible and will reduce your disposal fees, which will reduce your overall project costs. Plus, our deconstruction services are free. Even if you pay a fee to your contractor to deconstruct instead of demolish, you will still save on the cost of your project.
  • Save Our Environment: Reduce the environmental impact by removing reusable items instead of disposing of them in our local landfills.
  • Help Our Community: By providing the ReStore with quality building materials, we can be a resource to the community for purchasing affordable reusable items. This in turn allows the ReStore to provide additional funding to help Habitat build more homes for families in Pinellas County.
